Ingresol Da Abrasol

Why am I writing something with a funny heading?
Something that means nothing.
The answer lies in something that America cherishes wildly and propounds vehemently.
Freedom !!! Freedom!! Freedom!!!
Something that is very close to my heart

But one person’s freedom becomes other’s bane. That is when the subject freedom with responsibility comes into effect..
According to the index of freedom USA will come at the top and by that kind of freedom I mean constraints on individual restrictions.
And when freedom comes into the picture where does that leave us.
Politics is so deep rooted in our society that people just see the negative aspect of freedom. Ours is a negative society and freedom is more of an exception than a norm. Freedom to be unconventional, freedom to be mad and freedom to be justified.
According to a survey Indians are the most conformist in the world. That same survey points out that Indians have a misconception of calling themselves unconventional.
I went through some snaps of Google’s office called Googleplex a few days ago. The name says it all. If multiplexes are associated with fun, comfort and entertainment Google combines it with work. Treat work as fun and don’t be bound by conventional wisdoms. It is something everyone preaches and nobody follows. The hindsight should have been that giving fun opens up the mind to unconventional thinking.Thst leads to the flow of creative juice and ultimately work benefits. So many times have we come across management adages like “out of box” and “thinking on your feet” but when it comes to implementing those notions the same notions become “Pandora’s box” Nobody dares to open it.

Hypocrisy Part1

I am posting this as part 1 because time and time again I see a lot of hypocrisy around us,the place where we live, the environment where we thrive, the society which is supposed to endow values but promote hypocrisy since there may be more to come in my posts about classic Indian hypocrisy I just thought of starting a count.
It is justifiably agreed that hypocrisy is the norm of the day.Morality in today's world gives us more pains than gains. But people do have morality which holds the structure of our society in a civilized dimension. Some things are built on traditions and morality for those comes by default.Morality is a singular and it gives us a feel good touch to our soul .In this age of cut-throat competition though morality has taken a backseat.Still we have not thrown it out of the car because morality or pretentious morality acts as a mask for the naked ambitions we breed among ourselves.Bottomline is morality or not there should be gain at the cost of the whatever.Morality is an ambiguous word and for me,an engineer morality is not like any formula that can parameterize people is more like fuzzy logic fuzzier than that.
But one thing is for sure and hypocrisy are the best of enemies..
A couple of days ago the bird flue virus was reported in India.People got scared and the media acted as a catalyst.Politicians being ordinary people banned chicken from the parliament canteens and were genuinely admissive about it what I fail to understand is the sloppy job they did to promote chicken in society.Society was chickening out in a massive dilemma .The chief secretary of Animal Husbandry Department gleefully ate chicken in a media conference to assure the public that everything is fine .It is another thing that half of the media persons present concentrated more on reporting that news than
getting to the heart of the matter i.e. eating the very thing they were working on.The Mayor of Calcutta tried to promote chicken in a conference but refused to eat it infront of the camera. Hilarious !!!
Day in and out newspapers come out with pictures of happy go lucky politicians enjoying a nice Chicken Tandoori. But as an Indian I am confused.Whom should I trust?
The politicians who promote it,the parliamentarians who refuse to eat it,the mayor who is not sure what he is doing or the happy politicians on paper. This perhaps leads to beautiful conclusion: "Democracy at its best here.because we have an incredible number choices"
But situations of indecision among leaders arise everyday:
On Iran,on nuclear issue, development, privatisation et al
And as a nation bred in true democratic fashion we are just as confused as to where we are heading.
